NOW I am working directly for Landowners.
What can I do
My contacts in Industry welcome and support my efforts as they too are seeking fair and equitable solutions and often the folks sent to achieve this are underqualified.
Oct 1963: Why does this matter, I have been “around” and I have decades of Oil and Gas experience.
Ponoka, Alberta and our family had a farm for 6 years, since then I have lived a further 10 years in the country.
Graduated from U of C in April 1987, with a business degree (B. Comm) with a major in Petroleum Land Management.
I know the Industry and I know Landowners; I have worked for Petroleum Engineers for decades only stopping 2 years ago. I miss the Oil and Gas Industry.
I am an old school, blunt, direct problem solver and I have the technical tools and staff (map makers & engineers) able to professionally and proactively solve any issue.
I understand Industry, I created positive changes in Industry, and I have many contacts at the AER and in Industry.
You can read more about me by visiting my Linked in or read more about me on my Conroy Hockey website to see a bit about my character.
I am the company owner and lead problem solver; I am building and will be adding more senior and learned problem solvers.
The following is my professional background that is relevant to me being an excellent resource for Landowners.
I have also served on several CAPP committees, attended several CAPL Landman Conferences and have attended and presented technology at Conferences on Emergency Response and Road Use Management. I am an innovator and have changed how industry does Emergency Response with my expertise in GPS and GIS.

Directive 60 – Upstream Petroleum Industry Flaring, Incinerating, and Venting My company The Flare Notice Team
Directive 71 – Emergency Preparedness and Response. My company: Proactive Surface Solutions.
Directive 79 – Surface Development in Proximity to Abandoned Wells. My Company; The Frac Notice Team
Directive 83 – Hydraulic Fracturing – Subsurface Integrity My Company; The Frac Notice Team
My Experience
July 1987, Mineral/Surface Landman, Cabre Exploration. In 1988 I further obtained my Surace Land Agent license (since expired) I was both a mineral and surface landman and worked directly with Landowners obtaining both Surface and Freehold Mineral Land agreements.
I am an objective, fair, learned man who has always stood up for Landowners. In the past I have lost Clients for my objectivity and have twice been blackballed by the actual Industry I worked for again because I choose to deal with groups proactively.
Doing the RIGHT THING has always been first and foremost for me and my staff.
I still have many contacts in the Oil l and Gas Industry and believe that meeting in person and “boots on the ground” are the BEST ways to resolve conflicts. MY handshake is my word but we are going to document things anyways 😊.
I currently live in the country in Madden, Alberta and I have always enjoyed collaborating with Landowners with a few notable exceptions.
